"Rita's Tulips" was inspired by my relationship with a grandmother figure during my adolescence. For years I would give a friends grandma tulips for Mother’s Day back home and it was a sweet tradition, I loved catching up with her every year. She was the sweetest, kindest woman. When I moved to Chicago she would send me artist articles she found in magazines and it melted my heart. Friendships can span through generational gaps.
These are in of honor her ♥️
Please note that my artwork uses brush textures and can have a varied texture throughout and are an intentional part of my style.
