About the collection:

Stop and Smell the Flowers is a solo exhibition of mixed-media work exploring the quiet, beautiful ways motherhood reshapes how we move through the world. Through paint, ink, and fabric appliqué featuring original pattern designs, the pieces reflect the moments that ask us to slow down and truly notice what surrounds us. Children have a way of guiding our attention to the small wonders we might otherwise miss: a rabbit hopping through the garden, squirrels gathering food, the first tulip sprouts of spring. The work also celebrates everyday comforts: the simple joy of a hot cup of tea or a beloved color repeated in soft stripes. This exhibition invites viewers to pause, look closely, and remember that so much of life’s joy lives in the smallest details.

Each piece has a connection to our mother/daughter story that is continuing to reshape all parts of who I am.
